Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a small, little town that is a bit sleepy. The West Island has a lot of diverse communities. People who have never been aware of it frequently confuse it with an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often mentioned, but her brief time in the city was not. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa in Ontario. The first goal she had was to pursue a career as an actress however, after a rapid expansion, she and her partner were no longer able to dance with her. In an interview with Toronto Star, she confessed that "In heels I am 6 feet and 1 inch." When I outgrew my male companions, I quit. Former dancers often turn to acting and in the case of Brugel, it was a suggestion by her teacher in drama. The teacher who suggested she go after a role in the annual school production. After a few auditions the role, she was chosen as the main character for Anne of Green Gables. She was awarded a Fine Arts Talent Sc
